She asked her father, Gareth Ford-Williams, “Why do people go hungry and babies die when we’ve got lots of food in our country?”
“I don’t want my kids to grow up thinking there’s nothing they can do to help the world, even a little bit,” said Gareth. “There’s always some-thing you can do; it’s just finding it.”
He decided to help Molly set up Make That Difference website. “I wanted to empower her to do her own little bit,” he explained.
Make That Difference supports 12 charities. Whenever anyone visits the site and clicks on a charity they are sending a bowl of rice to someone, without it costing them anything.
Molly soon spread the word, badgering mums and dads at school to visit the site. In the first month it received 80,000 donations!
