People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have kick-started their website www.peta2.co.uk which acts as a tool for young people aged from 13 to 24. With such a high number of young people involved in the movement, PETA’s new website puts a new face on animal rights speaking directly to them in a language they can relate to. “Today’s young people are always ready to question the status quo,” says Dawn Carr, PETA UK director. “Kids have the power and the energy to bring about enormous change and the site gives them the tools to do it.”

The website was launched last October and PETA supporter, John Feldmann, lead singer of Goldfinger, donated autographed t-shirts, CDs and even one of his own guitars. Young people are getting involved with radically changing their lives for the better, influencing their families and communities in the movement for positive change. Animal liberation is on its way, even if it does begin with just badges and punk rock.
