Our Fragile World:
the beauty of a planet under pressure
by Troth Wells and Caspar Henderson

A beautiful book full of stunning images, Our Fragile World, reveals how diverse planet Earth is. The captions accompanying each of the photographs are thought provoking, emphasising the importance of places and peoples who are often overlooked or unknown.

In the book’s foreword, MEP, Dr Caroline Lucas encourages us to take action for the Earth. She says that unless we, the human race act now, we risk going down in history as the species that spent all our time monitoring our own extinction rather than preventing it. Our Fragile World catalogues some of what would be lost. As well as being a call to arms, this book is a message of hope; it is not yet too late to cease and begin reversing humankind’s destructive impact’.

From nature’s colourful coral reefs to the human-made ecosystem of rice paddies, this book celebrates the wonder of the world we have, urging us to fight for its survival.
