Do you fancy taking part in a group cycling tour of the UK next summer? Following their recent success in Canada, the first two UK Otesha Cycle Tours will be taking place in June and August 2008.

The ethos behind The Otesha Project centres on the key role of facing up to the challenges in our society. However, few people are motivated by guilt and lecturing, so through cycle tours, workshops, local working groups and online activities, Otesha hopes to create a community of like-minds who will encourage the onset of change through imagination and innovation.

If you are 18 to 25, you can now apply to be one of the 22 individuals on each six-week tour. You will visit some great places, share the specially written play about the daily impact of our lifestyle choices and challenge others en route to reduce the environmental impacts in their own lives. To join the tour, you do not have to be an elite athlete ñ just a capable cyclist.

In Swahili, the word Otesha’ means reason to dream’
