With more than two million members and supporters around the world, the organisation campaigns on today’s most urgent environmental and social issues.
Friends of the Earth have now produced their second Friends of the Earth International, trilingual, 2008 calendar. The theme is food & agriculture’ and it is illustrated with powerful images from their recent International photograph competition. Six hundred photographers from 38 countries sent in their pictures. Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the world-renowned aerial photographer, was one of the judges who had the difficult task of choosing the winners. A selection of the best photographs have been chosen to illustrate the calendar, along with the dates of key environment-related events. Each order takes Friends of the Earth a little closer to saving the planet, as the profits will go towards funding their International campaigning work.
