A compelling one-woman show has recently received excellent reviews. Directed by Sue Mayo and featuring an original soundscape by Joseph Young, the play gives audiences an engrossing insight into the life of Rachel Carson ñ the legendary ecologist, writer and biologist.

Rachel Carson came head to head with commercial and government interests in 1960′s America, when she boldly spoke out for the environment against the careless use of chemicals. Testifying before Congress, she called for new policies that would protect human health and wildlife.

‘Through the play, you meet this remarkable woman,’ explains Liz Rothschild, who gives a truly spellbinding performance as Rachel, ‘and experience the natural world as she felt and saw it. You hear the stories she never told in her lifetime and feel how they still reverberate today.’
