It is full of information about how we share our world’s resources fairly without war or greed. It encourages the responsibility to work towards a more peaceful future and demonstrates this with models of the ways we can instill caring into young people and our communities. On their website they describe their hopes as ‘To create more caring tolerant human beings.’ They say that to do this ‘We need to go back to source, the wondrous loving care which mothers show for their newly-born! It is that seed base from which young minds and souls can be inspired to care deeply about the plight of fellow human beings. Caring people power’ can and will change the world.’
The website offers comment on interfaith peace and has an extensive links page to groups and organisations that all help the cause of peace. ‘Few realise there is a basic pledge within the scriptures of all ten leading religions,’ they say. The pledge states that ‘We should not do to others which we would not wish done to ourselves’ With this in mind, they urge leaders of the faiths to find unity and ask that schools teach this pledge so that it becomes a key to promoting Caring Ethics globally.
