Homes for Good’ is coming to Westpoint Arena, Exeter this year. The exhibition will run from Friday 17th to Saturday 18th April and is open to everyone interested in sustainable living whether they are trade or consumer. The show attracts Professionals inquiring about new sustainable building techniques and members of the public embarking on self-build and renovation or householders simply seeking advice about an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Doors are open from 10.00am till 4.00pm each day. Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations and try their hand at mixing cob. This part of the exhibition is particularly popular with the children who enjoy messing with the straw and mud!

Over 100 exhibitors will be showcasing new and revolutionary sustainable products and services and offer expert advice on all aspects of renewable energy, sustainable building products and associated services as well as landscaping. There will also be an opportunity to have a go at greener’ driving in the Energy Saving Trust Car simulator! Other exhibits include a car run on vegetable oil, a centrepiece garden and a timber frame house erected during the show. The exhibition will also be hosting a Transition Towns networking event.

Corina Reay, Event Organiser from Ecos Trust said: ‘We launched this annual event six years ago and have seen an increased level of interest in sustainability. People are now thinking carefully about where their money is spent. With increased energy bills and the credit crunch, people want easy access to both greener and healthier ways of living whilst saving money’

Energy Saving Trust (EST), Devon County Council, Exeter City Council and the Forestry Commission are sponsoring the event.

The exhibition are offering two tickets for the price of one when people reserve them online.
