The young people, who have moderate learning difficulties themselves, raised more than £300, by selling cream teas and manning stalls at the College’s Open Weekend. This is being put towards the cost of a water feature ñ part of a new sensory garden, currently being built at the supported-living home in Dorchester.
‘We are thrilled with the efforts and dedication of the students ñ raising so much in just two days,’ said Dan Ling, manager of the home. ‘For these young people to go out of their way like this is absolutely fantastic.’
