Judges said the Forum has been guided by one of the highest forms of Gandhian ideals: that of dialogue and understanding each other’s point of view to find common ground on which to base a solution.
The Forum members – half Palestinian and half Israeli – have each lost family members due to the conflict. The group promote peace and political agreement, while preventing bereavement being used as a means to expand hostility. Activities include face-to-face or online reconciliation projects, dialogue sessions for both young people and adults, school visits and a television drama series.
